Our Story

HOW IT HAPPENED

HOW IT STARTEDOver 10 Years Ago

What started off as an unexpected encounter in 2012, has developed into a friendship that many of you have seen blossom through so many memorable moments. Fast forward 10 years, Trisha and Darren are finally tying the knot!

HE FINALLY PROPOSEDEast Meets West

Both from opposite sides of the city, in 2017 the friendship was rekindled to what we know today as Daz & Trish. After many trips from east to west London, food dates and a few Tamil movies with Trisha’s mum, Darren finally proposed to his best friend on New Year’s Eve 2021.

31.12.2021SHE SAID YES

Whilst risking the chance of a last minute festive lockdown, Darren took the brave choice of arranging a special night overlooking the amazing London skyline, where he asked Trisha to be his wife from the top floor of the Shard. Luckily for him, she actually said YES!

Getting There

There are 2 ways to get to the city of Florence.

You can fly into the nearest airport which is Firenze airport.
Alternatively you can take a flight to Pisa airport, and jump on a shuttle service to Pisa train station followed by an hour train to Florence.

Accommodation

STAY WITH US

Along with our families we will be staying at Italiana Hotels Florence. Guests are welcome to stay with us and can book directly with the hotel at a discounted rate.

Travel arrangements

There will be a taxi service available the evening of the welcome party. Guests will be able to order a taxi from the reception of the Italiana Hotels from 5:00 pm onwards.
On the day of the wedding, coaches will pick up guests and leave from the Italiana Hotels at 3:15 pm sharp. (Please do not be late as if you miss the coach, you will need to find your own way).

Can I bring a plus one?

We appreciate your love and support in coming out to Italy to celebrate our wedding however, we would like to keep our wedding intimate therefore it will be invite only.
